Miili was born out of Ilkka Horsma's desire to offer IT talent a job where their development is at the heart of their development. How, then, is the possibility of continuous competence development guaranteed at Miili? And what do we have in our plans for the future?
Building a developer-driven consultancy house
Ilkka Horsma is a business-oriented software architect with 20 years of experience in the field. Ilkka had been thinking about starting his own business and had a few business ideas since he moved back to Finland from Malta. In 2018, Miili Consulting was born out of Ilkka's desire to offer business-oriented software consulting, the burning heart of which is motivated and prosperous employees. Since then, the value-oriented Miili has grown rapidly into a motivated team of six people.
"My company offers a great opportunity to develop its own product ideas. On the consulting side, when I founded Miili, my idea was more developer-driven. I want us to help the developer advance to the next position in his or her career. Not so much a bulk sale that you know how to do these, so here's your assignment. It doesn't motivate and such a consultant changes the scenery quickly. So you could say that on the consulting side, my idea is to build a developer consulting house. I think that a new-learning consultant is motivated and produces better work for his client," says Ilkka.

Miili's plans for the future
"In the future, it would be interesting to be able to do more startup projects as well, as they often offer interesting job opportunities for our developers. Startup projects have interesting business ideas where developers can use new technologies. In addition, you can challenge yourself from a business point of view," says Ilkka.
