What made you apply for a job at Miil?
I didn't really apply to Miil, but I started a business. The establishment started with the idea of providing business-oriented software consulting and putting the developer at the centre. In other words, you can find developers for projects that learn new things in the project and whose mindset is business-oriented rather than technology-oriented.

Howwould you describe Miil's working culture?
At Miili we trust a friend and strive to bring out the best in everyone.

Hobbies:
I'm involved in my children's hobbies, baseball and orienteering. In baseball, I'm my son's coach. Plus, I go for bike rides and a gym.

What's the best part of your job?
Learning new and continuously evolving.

A memorable moment of joy or success at Miili:
Hiring the first employee in a certain way. It takes responsibility not only for itself, but also for the fact that there is enough work for others. It can be compared in a certain way to the birth of one's own child.

What would you like to learn next?
At the moment, I'm trying to develop my supervisor skills and MS Azure skills.

Tell me some funny fact about yourself:
I am the year 1989 Finnish iceball champion in E-juniors.

What made you pick you up for Miili?
I headhunted Ilkka and Ilkka headhunted me, that's where it started. In Miili I was fascinated by being able to build a company from the very beginning, to create a company that looks like your own. Founder Ilkka had a strong value base, which resonated. From there, we started together to create an employee-oriented company in Miili.

How would you describe Miil's working culture?
We have a free and flexible work culture. Here you are free to do anything that supports your own development. We have a low hierarchy, everyone is listened to and everyone is involved, everyone gets to make a difference. We have a tight-minded team where you have the courage to say your own opinions and also question things.

Hobbies:
Jogging and spending time with my dog.

What's the best part of your job?
Versatility, you get to do everything and you learn new things all the time. Free rein affects your own work.

A memorable moment of joy or success at Miili:
Every time a team has grown up and we've found great colleagues in the group – those are moments of joy.

What would you like to learn next?
More on marketing.

Tell us some funny fact about yourself:
I have worked in software development companies since 2017, that experience is useful when headhunting coders and creating a working environment and   culture that attracts IT professionals. In addition, experience can also be found in start-ups, which is also useful in the building and growing of Miili.

What made you apply to Miili?
I chose Miil because Miili has experience in domain-driven design and event-based architectures that I have already discovered, which I believe are key tools both in designing new IT and software architectures and in updating existing ones. I jumped in to learn more about them and work on them. There was also a number of interesting customer projects to choose from, so the choice was easy in the end.

How would you describe Miili's working culture?
In a small house, there are plenty of opportunities to influence what you do and what you represent. Miili has clear values and there was a lot of talk about them in recruitment. So it's easy to believe that everything is building a culture and it's making a big difference to me.

Hobbies:

Leisure time is spent exercising; I run, I cycle, I swim and I climb.

What's the best thing about your job?
Miili has fulfilled the promise of meaningful work and functional infrastructure around it.

A memorable moment of joy or success at Miili:
The start of the customer project and Mili's successful meetup in the spring, which left a lot of new acquaintances and information in hand.
